Michael Bond's Mouse Tales book 'Here Comes Thursday', First Edition 1966 

Michael Bond the much loved author of  the wonderful Paddington Bear books wrote this enchanting and whimsical tale about a sweet little mouse called 'Thursday'. Excellent and bright first edition of this children's book from the 1960's.

Michael's warm and endearing wit is present throughout this delightful tale of this cute and mischievous 'waif and stray' mouse who escapes to a new life and literally falls upon a family of mice living in an old church organ cupboard. 

The tales are full of whimsy as our little mouse Thursday gets in a bunch of fun adventures with his new friends and family all charmingly illustrated in black and white by Daphne Rowles. The mouse illustrations are adorable, equal in charm to the Paddington Bear stories this book is an underrated children's classic perfect to add to your child's own little library. 

If you have read all the Paddington Bear books and are looking for more this is the book. A lively and innocent tale for a young reader, to enjoy again yourself, or share with your children or grandchildren.
