This is fresh from the attic in VERY GOOD vintage condition.

Nice clean, crisp copy with a few minimal signs of wear considering its age for a paperback over half a century now still holding together well.

Pages lightly tanned, no foxing, fresh and clean overall.

Pictorial card wraps still firm and glossy, very slightly scuffed to extremities a few tiny marks and one small crease to bottom right hand corner of front cover.

Spine Intact and good with titles visible.

No names or inscriptions written in the book but someone has written the number '202' in felt tip on the top right hand side of a preliminary page.

Lovely Vintage First Edition 6th Print of this classic Pan Paperback.

The Letter disturbed Hercule Poirot greatly. It was written by a killer and it was written in deadly earnest.

Sure enough, a Mrs Ascher was murdered at Andover on the due date.

A second letter announced a murder at Bexhill. The victim was Betty Barnard.

Then a third, at Churston, the murder of Sir Carmichael Clarke...followed by a fourth at Doncaster...

Beside each corpse lay a copy of the ABC Railway Guide, open at the relevant page. Poirot was never more tested than by the sinister logic of ...
