This book  was probably the most popular of all the Ladybird fairy tale stories with the exquisite illustrations of Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother.

The story of Cinderella is one of the oldest traditional folk tales, versions of it are believed to date back as far as the 7th Century BC and it has been a children's favourite for centuries. 

This Ladybird book is somewhat shabby round the edges but still as charming as Prince Charming himself! Despite the well worn exterior the pages inside are fresh and bright.

This version of Cinderella was written by Vera Southgate in simple sentences perfect for children to understand.

This is fresh from the attic in good vintage condition. The matt boards have moderate rubbing and loss at the top corners and edges and the spine is worn at the top.

Apart from the slightly shabby "Well Loved" exterior all interior pages are bright and clean with no messy graffiti of any kind. Matt board Covers are firm and colours bright. The classic illustrations are lovely and fresh.
