Superb Quality Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Exquisite Vintage 1980's hardback

Beautiful vintage Bronte sisters book with elegant midnight blue faux leather binding, gilt titles, marbled endpapers and sublimely fine gilt-edged pages. This edition is not illustrated and is instead as published in the manner of the First Edition of Jane Eyre in plain text. Nearly 200 years ago and this novel still enchants! The dreamy marbled endpapers are in the antique tradition and transport you back to the early 19th century when this book was first written in 1847.

This classic love story is one that is still as adored today as when first written in the Victorian romantic era by Charlotte - full of passionate emotion and longing in the Haworth Parsonage where the Bronte sisters were surrounded by the brute energy of the wuthering wind and the wild Yorkshire Moors!
