This is fresh from the attic in good vintage condition .

The dust jacket is rubbed at the corners and slightly frayed in places.

Light bumping to the red cloth underneath the jacket which actually looks quite fresh although some fading to the spine. (The dust jacket was actually inside the book being used as a bookmark when I bought this one)

Robust condition. Interior pages are firm and reasonably clean with no messy graffiti of any kind except for a previous child owner's name and address neatly written on a blank page inside the book.

She must have been very thrilled with this present for 'Xmas 1960'.

The exterior of the text block is tanned with shelf wear but no heavy foxing. The book has been read before and shows slight wear to pages but no creasing or scribbles.

The attractive illustrated endpapers are slightly toned in places.

Overall nearly very good especially as scarce dust jacket present but not quite.
