Smart Collectable Fontana Edition of the classic vintage crime novel "Hallowe'en Party" by Agatha Christie First Time in Paperback Book with Great Tom Adams Cover.
A classic Agatha Christie crime novel brought to you in this attractive "First Time in Paperback" Fontana edition from the 1970's era. This Agatha Christie mystery was first published in 1969 and this is the first paperback edition of 1972.
In smart condition for a vintage paperback book with nice crisp card covers showing the sinister and surreal Tom Adams design with the poisonous looking apple perfectly. These 1970's book covers really were great works of art.
Hallowe'en Party is one of Agatha's super old crime books featuring the favourite Belgian Detective 'Hercule Poirot', her wonderful nostalgic detective fiction with a great sense of period that makes these classic books still so popular today.
In "Hallowe'en Party" a bit like a good game of Cluedo, someone is dead - in the library of course. Our deductive detective Poirot steps into the fore and we know it won't be long before the dastardly mystery is solved.
Contemporary Media Review:
"Agatha Christie at her best... complete with Hercule Poirot, an au pair girl who mysteriously disappears and sundry deaths which of course are not what they seem." - Evening News
These super old whodunnit's by Agatha Christie never fail to delight a crime fiction fan.

Kitty's Notes:
If collecting Agatha Christie books is your thing these Fontana editions from the 1970's when found in very good condition like this one, make a great addition to your shelf of collectible Agatha Christie Classic Crime novels.
Of all the Tom Adams' cover designs I would say this is my favourite with the Snow White-esque gleaming poison apple morphed into a sinister skull design and the girl in the background with such a great 1970's face she almost looks like Twiggy.
An iconic paperback and extra nice that this is the first time this great Agatha Christie Murder Mystery appeared in paperback back in 1972.
Book Excerpt from " Hallowe'en Party":
" 'What happened?' said Poirot. His voice was sharp.
'We found her dead in the end - in the library,' said Mrs. Oliver. 'Someone, you know, someone had shoved her head down into the water with the apples. Shoved her down and held her there so that she was dead, of course. Drowned. Drowned. Just in a galvanised iron bucket nearly full of water. Kneeling there, sticking her head down to bob at an apple. I hate apples,' said Mrs. Oliver. 'I never want to see an apple again...' "
Poirot looked at her. He stretched out a hand and filled a small glass with cognac.
'Drink this, ' he said. 'It will do you good.'

This is fresh from the attic in very good vintage condition.
Nice clean copy with a few minimal signs of wear considering its age for a paperback over half a century now still holding together well.
Pages heavily tanned, light freckled foxing to page edges, a couple of small ink stains to the outer edge of the text block.
The book has obvious signs of having been read before but overall very good.
Pictorial card wraps still firm with just a few small marks and creases. Very slightly scuffed to extremities
Most importantly the spine is intact and good with titles visible with a light crease but not cracked.
No names or inscriptions or graffiti of any kind written in the book.
Lovely Vintage 1970's edition of this classic Agatha Christie Book.
