Another sparkling historical romance book from our old favourite romantic novelist Barbara Cartland. If you love the romantic fiction genre Barbara Cartland was a leading romantic author in the mid-century 1960's era. This lovely vintage book is offered to you in very good condition with surprisingly fresh and clean pages showing just a little bit of age for such an old book.
This exciting vintage romance is set in the era of the bewitchingly beautiful Elizabeth of Austria and her somewhat scandalous life. Barbara Cartland always cleverly blends some actual historical period and true history into her sweet historical romance books.
Our heroine the beautiful Gisela is about to find her life dramatically changed we follow her in her path to happiness through the intriguing life of 19th century high society and aristocracy.
Another great romantic romp from Barbara Cartland, clean vintage romance and an old school love story but highly enjoyable for those of us who enjoy the genre and sweet gentle read smattered with fascinating titbits of history.

Kitty's Notes:
If you are interested in history it is well worth reading about the life of Elizabeth the Empress of Austria. The fact that Barbara Cartland creates her main character in this book Gisela, and allows her to fall into the social circle of this fascinating historical figure adds greatly to the enjoyment of this fun vintage historical romance.
As always with Barbara Cartland's old romance books this is a sweet innocent read but she still managed to weave a thoroughly engaging and exciting story even if people do expect a bit more excitement these days this is still a lovely romantic read.
Book Excerpt from "Stars in My Heart":
"Gisela moved quickly so as to be out of his way, squeezing herself almost apologetically against the wall on the opposite side of the fireplace, a wall which being overhung with saddles was in the deepest shadow.
Not that the gentlemant entering the shop paid the slightest attention to her. He walked slowly, but with an arrogance and pride which made him dominate and overshadow everything and everyone else.
He was very tall, hatless, his dark hair shining in the firelight. He had square shoulders beneath his blue whipcord coat and an exquisitely tied cravat which threw into prominence the squareness of his jaw..."
