A truly wonderful journey through Neverland and the delightful exciting adventures of the Darling children with their magical companion Peter Pan.

We join their adventures with the baddy Captain Hook and the mischievous fairy Tinkerbell. Not forgetting Nana of course their adorable Newfoundland Dog. Interestingly, the author J. M. Barrie owned a Newfoundland Dog himself so he understood the loyal and protective nature of these adorable canines.

I love to find a sweet old children's book like this still perfectly complete as so often they have had pages torn out of them or have fallen to bits from overuse. This super antique edition still has loads of life left in it to delight and enchant, with all Alice B. Woodward's exquisite full colour plates and the classic tale of Peter Pan. The little boy that never grows old and his love for Wendy.

This book is totally complete and a sweet find to be cherished.

"In one of the nicest nurseries in the world, there were beds for three young people called John Napoleon, and Wendy Moira Angela, and Michael, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Darling.

The nursery was wide and airy, with a large window, and a bright fire with a high fire-guard round it, and a big clock, anbd prettily coloured nursery-rhyme pictures over the walls.

It was in many ways a most interesting household. For one thing, although there was a pretty little parlour maid called Liza, the children were bathed and dressed by a big dog called Nana, whose kennel was kept in the nursery.

On the evening on which our story begins, Nana was dosing peacefully by the fireside, with her head between her paws..."

Enchanting antique children's picture book from the 1920's in very good robust condition.

Complete with all 28 colour plates.

The spine is in very good antique conditon.

Interior pages are overall clean and bright with just very light occasional spots of age freckling/foxing.

Olive green endpapers with a neat gift inscription on the first free endpaper.

Exterior of the text block is dust stained with some light foxing.

Boards are good with minimal wear and tear commensurate with age, front cover is overall good and bright with slight marks to the central vignette.

Overall a very good antique edition of this classic collectable "Peter Pan" book.
