Fascinating account of the expedition to climb to the Summit of Mount Everest by Hunt, Hillary, Tensing and the team in the 1950's. So very different from today's highly equipped mountaineering and fabulous period photos to this piece of social history. Hardback Book with Dust Wrapper richly illustrated with 150 photographs of the Ascent of Everest expedition in a diarised account written by Brigadier Sir John Hunt.

A super record of a milestone in history and a great book for a mountaineering enthusiast. Slightly well loved but a great book nonetheless. Old prize label inside showing it was awarded for 'Physical Education'.

This is fresh from the attic in good vintage condition .

The pictorial boards are a little rubbed and bumped at the corners and slightly bumped at the top and bottom of the spine.

Dust Jacket is somewhat tatty and heavily aged with various scuffs and losses.

All the pages are good with no messy graffiti of any kind and not overly thumbed, slight tanning to the extremities.

Spine Intact with titles visible and minor wear.

The book was given as a prize for 'Physical Education' and has a prize label attached to the inner front board.' No other inscriptions.

Please remember this vintage book has been loved before and is not new condition is graded taking this into consideration.
