All three of Philip Pullman's classic children's fantasy books, "Northern Lights", "The Subtle Knife" and "The Amber Spyglass" are gathered here in this vintage children's book  "His Dark Materials" omnibus edition of this great modern classic of children's fantasy fiction. Set in a parallel universe, Lyra's Oxford has a spooky similarity to the dreaming spires of the English Oxford we know and love but with more magic and daemons. These epic children's fantasy books have now been enthusiastically adapted to film and television but nothing dulls the pleasure of reading the original books.

Published in the US by the Science Fiction Book Club this vintage book is a lovely big volume containing all of the three novels in the Northern Lights Trilogy. The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and the third book The Amber Spyglass.

The attractive, colourful pictorial jacket showing Lyra and Will and the Alethiometer. The interior book is bound in a very smart black cloth with gilt titles to the spine.

The Northern Lights Trilogy makes a superb first edition children's book that's becoming increasingly sought after to add to your own precious collection. Uncommon signed. Would make a lovely gift for a fan of Philip Pullman's fabulous fantasy books.

All the pages are sharp and clean with no messy graffiti or inscriptions of any kind it appears unread with the text block still firm and pages pristine.

Black cloth binding under the attractive facsimile dust jacket is pristine.

Spine Intact with titles visible and no apparent wear.

No previous owner writing or name inscriptions of any kind other than the signed bookplate affixed to the first free endpaper.

There is a light crease to the first free endpaper and some very light shelf wear otherwise the book is near fine.

Excellent vintage collectable Philip Pullman hardback book in lesser found format.
