Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston and raised in Richmond, Virginia. Drifting from university to the army and into journalism he started to write and published many outstanding poems short stories and essays.. Despite his Brief and troubled life, Edgar Allan Poe was a unique genius who is now regarded as the first original American poet and Romantic. Poe died a tragic death, shrouded in much mystery and much in keeping with his enigmatic writings, in the year 1849.

This is fresh from the attic in excellent vintage condition .

Wine coloured cloth boards under a glossy jacket that shows just the tiniest hints of shelfwear leading to deep wine coloured endpapers.

Some slight rubbing to the cloth on the bottom edge of the boards, boards otherwise excellent.

All the pages are sharp and clean with no messy graffiti of any kind or name inscriptions. Slight parchment coloured tanning to outer edge of pages giving the book an attractive vintage look. No foxing.

Spine Intact with titles visible and minimal wear.

Very appealing book.
