Classic Children's Tale by Hans Andersen of "The Emperor's New Clothes". This 1990's vintage bedtime story book is the Disney version of this amusing fairytale. 

Hans Andersen was the author of some of the most famous children's stories and he wrote this amusing classic about the vain emperor who is duped into walking around in his birthday suit (or 'onesie' in this version) much to the amusement of all present. 

Disney's wonderful illustrations provide us with an immensely appealing Lion character,as the silly emperor tricked into believing in invisible cloth. 

A great fun children's book and very entertaining edition of this classic Hans Andersen children's story first published in 1837. This edition is copyright 1975 Disney and published by Grolier. In simple and easy words for your child to read along to. 

The Emperor as a big furry lion, or panther, is engaging and fun and sure to amuse your child as you read along with them introducing them in a fun way to all the classic old fairy tales for children.

This vintage children's book is in perfect condition with bright glossy boards and crisp pages with no other ownership names. Slightly larger than the standard 'Ladybird' book size it would make a lovely little gift to be read again as a favourite children's bedtime story.

Anyone remember 'The Pink Panther' well that favourite 1970's character seems to have been born again in this vintage children's book as a fun, and very vain Emperor.

The silly Emperor is tricked by two mischievous and greedy weavers into believing that he really has bought some invisible cloth.

Even nearly 200 years later this fun story never fails to bring a giggle the first time your child hears it.

And the moral message about greed, and consumption and a fool being easily parted with his money still rings as true today!

Written in simple words and a perfect bedtime story book.
